Quilted Love

Ahhhhhh quilts :) I can't say I have had much to do with quilts until the last few years where many of the ladies on our camp get together an make quilts.  Last year a very good friend made me a quilt, something I will treasure for many years especially knowing the number of hours spent making it.  I often use the saying 'You're a Star' and it was the star quilt pattern she used making it even more special.  Sue showed me some of the other quilts she had and a couple really caught my attention, one was an old one and Sue was pointing out the different pieces of material used, this one was left over from a favourite dress of her mums, another her sister's party dress etc., the other quilt was one she made for her son.  Sue had collected many of his t-shirts from throughout his growing up, some favourites, some being part of a team, other from schools he went to, I am sure you have got the picture. Each piece in both quilts had a memory as so from that I came up with the saying for this card.

  2. Awww such a lovely story and a card with the most perfect sentiment to illustrate the love and memories stitched into an heirloom quilt. I do feel a little sorry for the sweet little brothers having their tops taken off their backs so you could created your quilt of love..
I love the patchwork background with it's faux stitching .....your attention to detail had made this card so very pretty. It would be perfect for a quilt maker to include with a lovingly created gift of a quilt.
    Lots of love xxx ♥ ♥ ♥
